Ho-Chunk Nation Wisconsin Blackjack Tournament Rules
- Ho-Chunk Casino reserves the right to refuse tournament entry to anyone or cancel tournaments for any reason. No refunds unless management cancels the tournament.
- All tournament participants must be 21 years old and registered in the event.
- Ho-Chunk Casino house rules prevail, except as changed by the tournament rules. All decisions by the Tournament Director are final.
- All entrants must register at the designated registration table at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the round.
- All tournament participants must be at their assigned seats 5 minutes prior to the start of the round or they can be disqualified.
- Each tournament player will be issued $500 in non-negotiable tournament chips at the start of each round.
- All players must keep their chips separated by denomination and in full view on table.
- 25 hands constitute a complete round of play.
- The dealing and wagering order for the tournament shall be a rotating first base format. A puck will rotate clockwise one active spot per hand.
- No partnerships shall be formed during tournament.
- All bets must be placed in turn.
- Minimum bet of $5, maximum bet of $200. All bets must be made in $5 increments.
- The bet cannot be changed after it is placed.
- The complete amount to be wagered must be placed in one motion.
- No coaching allowed from others or non-players.
- In the event of a misdeal, the hand will be considered dead. The hand will be restarted beginning with the betting sequence.
- Even money is not offered during tournament. However, players may elect to insure blackjacks. This is the only time in tournament play that a pink chip $2.50 can be used.
- Any mispayments will be handled immediately.
- In the event of a tie, players involved will play 5 hands to determine the winner or rank of finish.
- Social Security card and picture ID required to collect all prizes.
- Dealers are allowed to accept tips at tournament tables. This can be in cash or chip form.
- Wild cards are kept in drum until the end of the final round.
- A Ho-Chunk Nation "Publicity Release" form must be completed and signed. Failure to do so will result in the winner forfeiting the prize.
